Our exclusive ‘I AM WOMAN’ event is onMarch 7,2026 is dedicated to raising essential funds for a local not-for-profit organization, Lighthouse for the Community.
Lighthouse for the Community is on the frontline, empowering individuals to break free from domestic violence and homelessness. Their crucial work helps clients to heal, thrive, and become active contributors to their community.
The organisation, led by founder Josie Parata, employs a dedicated team of Case Managers, support staff, and a strong network of volunteers. They provide indispensable support and guidance for people navigating domestic violence, divorce, homelessness, and addiction. Their services include:

Providing accommodation for single Mums

Walking hand in hand with clients and offering ongoing support

Partnering with local businesses to supply weekly meals and daily essentials.

Collaborating with local businesses to offer training to equip clients with skills to enter the workforce.
Founder, Josie Parata is a true powerhouse. She established Lighthouse for the Community after overcoming her own challenges with domestic violence. Even while battling and surviving cancer, her commitment never wavered. She is an incredible pillar of strength, tirelessly and selflessly dedicating her time to others.

How can you help us raise funds for Light house for the community:
We are raising funds for Lighthouse for the community through our raffles and 20% pecent of ticket sales. Light house for the community is registered as a non profit organisation and donations are tax deductable. We are on the look out for fabulous products, services, and samples for our gorgeous raffle hampers and attendee gift bags. If you know any lovely local or national businesses eager to showcase and donate their female-focused products and services, please let us know.
Every generous donor will receive two complimentary tickets to the 'I Am Woman 2026' event.
